Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Jiglume mobile application (“Jiglume” or “the app”), the website at jiglume.pages.dev, and support enquiries handle information.
In short:
Jiglume does not require an account. The current app contains no advertising, behavioural analytics, tracking SDKs, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Puzzle progress and settings are stored in the app’s private storage and are not sent to us. Visiting this website or emailing support involves the limited processing described below.
1. Who is responsible
The provider and data controller is Serhii Taikalo. Contact details and a postal correspondence address are provided in the Legal Notice. Privacy enquiries may be sent to pikalex.app@gmail.com.
2. Information kept in the app
Jiglume stores the selected language, visual theme, sound and haptic preferences, the active puzzle and difficulty, identifiers of correctly placed pieces, and identifiers of completed puzzles. This information is used only to restore preferences and puzzle progress.
It is stored in the app’s private local storage. Jiglume does not send this information to us or use it for advertising, tracking, profiling, or sale. Depending on your operating-system and device settings, Apple or Google backup services may include local app data in a device backup. Those backups are controlled by you and the relevant platform provider; we cannot access them.
You can remove local Jiglume data by deleting the app or clearing its storage through your device settings. Starting a puzzle over removes the saved progress for that puzzle but does not remove all app preferences or completion history.
3. Permissions and network activity
The current app does not request access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifier. It does not contact a Jiglume server and does not need an internet connection for puzzle gameplay. If you choose a legal or support link, your device opens the corresponding website or email service, which then operates under its own privacy terms.
4. App stores and device diagnostics
Apple App Store and Google Play independently process information needed to distribute, secure, and update the app. Depending on your device and store settings, they may also process installation, performance, crash, device, country, and account-related information and provide developers with aggregate reports or technical diagnostics. We do not receive payment-card details or store account passwords. Please consult the privacy information in your store and device settings for provider-controlled processing.
5. Website delivery and security
This website has no user accounts, advertising pixels, social-media widgets, or behavioural analytics. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies.
Cloudflare hosts, delivers, and protects the website. When you visit, Cloudflare may process technical request and security information such as IP address, request path, browser or device information, approximate location derived from IP, timestamp, and security signals. It may use strictly necessary cookies when required for network security or challenge functions. We may receive aggregate traffic, security, and performance information. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
6. Support and privacy enquiries
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you include. This is optional, although we may need relevant details such as app version, device type, and a description of the issue to help. Please do not send payment-card details, passwords, identification documents, or unnecessary information about a child.
Email is delivered and stored using Google/Gmail. We use it to answer the request, provide support, investigate security or rights issues, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.
7. Legal bases
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, we rely on:
- Steps requested by you or performance of a contract when we answer a request directly related to providing Jiglume;
- Legitimate interests in securely delivering the website, preventing abuse, understanding aggregate service performance, answering ordinary enquiries, and protecting legal rights; and
- Legal obligations where applicable law requires us to retain, use, or disclose limited information.
8. Recipients and sharing
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for behavioural advertising. Limited information may be processed by:
- Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery, and security;
- Google/Gmail for email delivery and storage;
- Apple and Google for store distribution and provider-controlled diagnostics; and
- professional advisers or public authorities where reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights.
9. International processing
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where GDPR transfer restrictions apply, processing is supported, as applicable, by an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard made available by the provider. You may contact us about the safeguard relevant to a specific request.
10. Retention and deletion
Local app data remains until you remove it as described in Section 2. We do not hold a server copy. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, handle relevant follow-up, prevent abuse, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims, and is deleted when those purposes no longer apply. Cloudflare, Google, Apple, and other platform providers retain provider-controlled records under their own policies and settings.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. Because app progress is not sent to us, we cannot access or delete the local copy on your device; you can remove it directly as described above. To request deletion of support correspondence or exercise another right, email pikalex.app@gmail.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred. The European Data Protection Board lists national authorities.
12. Children’s privacy
The app does not ask any user, including a child, to provide a name, email address, birth date, photo, voice recording, location, contacts, or messages. A child should not contact support without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child sent personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate steps to remove it.
13. AI and automated decisions
Jiglume does not run an AI service during use, send user information to AI providers, or make decisions about users through automated profiling. Information about AI-assisted visual content is provided in the Terms of Use.
14. Security
We minimise collection, keep gameplay data in the app’s private storage, use HTTPS for this website, and use service providers with access controls and security measures. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
15. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when Jiglume, its providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected here before or when they take effect where required.
For privacy questions, contact pikalex.app@gmail.com or use the postal details in the Legal Notice.
